...but not just any historian, an AMATUER one...lol.

Anyway, I love history, and I love folklore...the myths, the legends...thats where the paranormal and the cryptozoological reside(for the time being), is it not?

So on this board I encourage you all to tell your local legends, and discuss them. I REALLY want to see a discussion by Fayetteville, Arkansas locals about Tilly Willy's Bridge on here...thats been our most popular page. I want to here from you folks!!!

I am a strong believer in these types of elementals. I do believe they can be mistaken for "hauntings" There tricksters and can do everything from moving objects to helping with your garden. Depending on the respect you give them. My Husband is from US and do not believe in Fae, He has images of winged things granting wishes and making nursery rhymes. Some people even believe these creatures to be demonic. I would love to hear all your opinions on this subject!!

Well, I certainly believes there is SOMETHING out there that manifest's itself in similar ways...the stories are too wide-spread, and many pre-date the inter-mingling of certain cultures. Example: In Europe their know as faeries, as you say, and date back CENTURIES. In the US, they have all the same characterisitics: small, mischievious or helpful, depending; appearances are similar: small stature, spirits, etc. One such is known as the Koni(Kowi/Kwano/Koonie) Anukasha and are the 'Little people' of the Native American Choctaw people. These stories are almost exact carbon-copies world-wide.
